Yi Tong is a New York–based musical theatre performer, director, and educator originally from China. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Xinghai Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Musical Theatre Performance from New York University. As a performer, Yi is passionate about storytelling that bridges cultures and human experiences. His work is driven by curiosity, emotional honesty, and a belief that theatre can create meaningful connections across different backgrounds and perspectives. His training has included acting, voice, dance, and musical theatre performance, with a particular interest in character-driven work. Yi hopes to continue building a career that spans performance, education, and new work development, creating theatre that is both artistically engaging and culturally resonant.
